Open application

We're looking for a detail-oriented Freelance Website Content Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of content updates across Hey Harper's e-commerce website on Storyblok. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on implementing approved content, maintaining website pages, supporting product launches, and ensuring our website assets are optimized and organized. We're not looking for a content strategist, editorial planner, or someone to develop content calendars. Creative direction, campaign planning, and content priorities are already managed internally. We're looking for someone who can take clear briefs and turn them into accurate, polished website updates. This is a temporary freelance position with ideally 1 day in our Lisbon office, either on Monday or Wednesday. We work in a hourly fee structure for 16-24 hours per week, available during 09:00 to 19:00. We’re looking for someone who can start immediately commit until at least January 2027.

You'll work most closely with our Brand Marketing Specialist and Digital Product Merchandiser, collaborating with our Design and E-commerce teams as needed.

What you'll work on:

  • Website Content Management

    • Upload, update, and publish website content through Storyblok.

    • Build and maintain landing pages using existing CMS components and templates.

    • Implement campaign updates, homepage changes, and other recurring content requests.

    • Compress and optimize images and other web assets for performance.

    • Maintain clean, organized asset libraries, file naming, and content structures in Storyblok.

    • Check desktop and mobile layouts to ensure content displays correctly.

New Product Launches

  • Set up and update product detail page (PDP) content for new launches.

  • Upload and organize product images, descriptions, and supporting assets.

  • Implement and format product copy based on provided briefs and brand guidelines.

  • Verify content accuracy, consistency, and completeness before launches.

Day-to-Day Website Execution

  • Translate approved Figma designs and creative assets into website updates using existing components.

  • Coordinate with the Brand Marketing Specialist and Digital Product Merchandiser on priorities, briefs, assets, and deadlines.

  • Handle routine content changes, corrections, and website maintenance requests.

  • Perform content QA before publishing, including links, imagery, formatting, and mobile responsiveness.

  • Flag missing information, technical limitations, or inconsistencies before they become launch issues.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Available 16-24 hours per week from October to January 2027

  • Practical, hands-on experience with Storyblok is ideal. Other platforms like Wordpress or Magento are valuable.

  • Previous experience updating and maintaining e-commerce websites.

  • Familiarity with image compression, web asset optimization, and CMS asset management.

  • Comfortable working with Figma and implementing designs using existing templates and components.

  • Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.

  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple execution requests.

  • Comfortable following established processes, working from briefs, and meeting deadlines.

  • Nice to have

    • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.

    • Previous experience with DTC brands.

Requirements

We're not here to gatekeep creativity, but we're looking for someone who has:

  • This is a freelance position, ideally with availability to work from our Lisbon office 1 day per week (Monday or Wednesday). However, we’ll prioritize strong talent from across Europe first and foremost. We work on an hourly rate structure.

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in graphic design or brand design. This role is not suitable for recent graduates whose experience is primarily internships, or for designers with a predominantly UX/UI or product design background.

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. We also work in Figma, so confidence using it is essential.

  • A solid understanding of designing for digital channels including Meta, email, and websites.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset. You take feedback well, iterate quickly, and care as much about business impact as you do about beautiful design.

  • Excellent communication skills. You're able to manage multiple projects, explain your design decisions, and work independently.
